On June 14, 2014, I held my 5th Client Appreciation Event. The party takes place at my home, on a ravine setting, perfect venue for a Summer Blowout with spectacular music and food.
I wanted to thank everyone who attended once again. We were competing with World Cup soccer that day, it had to be Italy vs England, but I was thrilled to see so many of you made it out anyway. We were rewarded with picture perfect weather, just cool enough to keep the mosquitos away.
We started off the evening with entertainment by Cassie & Jaigan, two steelpannists from the Jesse Ketchum Pan Vibrations Steelband. They were fantastic, and were even joined for a few songs by my new Client Care Coordinator, Tanya Hunter, who is a long time member of the band ( and a regular participant in Caribana's yearly parade) This was also Tanya's opportunity to meet my clients in person.
Our catering for the evening was done by The Greek Grill, one of my favourite restaurants and a staple in the community. The guests were raving about the food and the fantastic service by Jimmy and his team. Forget Danforth if you want the real deal. The fresh grilled Calamari was out of this world and the Roast Chicken and Lamb had everyone coming back for seconds.
The evening featured a terrific band called Therapeutic Soul. They totally reminded me of the type of band you might see in New Orleans! They had the crowd going with a great selection of old and new, soul and funk and some R&B music. The dancefloor was definitely full for these guys.
We gave away a ton of door prizes throughout the entire evening, and there were many lucky winners. There was a special Grand Prize Draw for clients who have provided me with referrals over the past year. They each had 5 ballots (per referral) entered into the draw. The lucky winners of a Home Theatre System with Quantum HD 3D LED Projector with a 72" Projection Screen (Total valued at $3500) were Josh & Jenny Adams.
Overall the night was a huge success. I think my husband was the most intoxicated person of the night! Check out Jim and his sister shaking it up with the band! We can't wait to do it all over again in the summer of 2016 or sooner.
